M & W Construction LLC, local general contractor is pleased to
announce that a local construction project has been featured in
a national publication. Metal Home Digest featured a three page
article on the Elm Wood Courts Re-Roofing Project located at
2330 Ohio Street here in Paducah.
The project was designed by local architect J. Patrick Kerr,
A.I.A., which entailed the removal of 150,000 square feet of
existing
asphalt shingle roofing materials and the installation of Standing
Seam Metal Roofing System on a total of twenty-seven
apartment buildings.
Boyce Ross, Modernization Coordinator opted to use the metal
roofing system due to the longevity of the system. This would
have been the fifth time in fifty-two years that the building was to
be re-roofed with conventional shingles. The life cycle of the
metal roof system should be in excess of thirty years.
Metal Home Digest is published six times a year and has a
circulation of ninety-five thousand delivered to commercial and
industrial contractors, architects, manufactures, developer and
home builders involved in the metal building construction
industry.
